From Xylexpo 2026: Superpush 260 and 260XL for cutting and drilling, even on large cross-sections

At Xylexpo 2026, the prototype presented as the Superpush 250XL attracted the interest of customers and distributors because it addresses two very specific production needs in a straight-cut machine: processing larger sections and integrating drilling into the work cycle. 

This development is now part of the Salvador lineup under the names Superpush 260 and Superpush 260XL, two new automatic pusher-type optimizing machines designed for those seeking a more comprehensive, precise, and continuous process.

Superpush 260: Cutting and Drilling in a Single Process

The major innovation unveiled in Milan is the ability to combine straight cutting and drilling in a single process. The Superpush 260 can, in fact, be equipped with a drilling unit featuring five independent spindles, designed to perform additional machining operations directly within the machine cycle.

This means reducing intermediate steps, material handling, and setup times. The workpiece is loaded, machined, and cut to size according to a more linear sequence, with a clear benefit for companies that need to incorporate repeated cutting and drilling operations into their production workflow.

Superpush 260XL: More Capacity for Straight Cuts

The new optimizer builds on the experience gained from the Superpush line and takes straight cutting to a new level of production capacity. The chain-loading system, already recognized for its reliability and operational continuity, is incorporated into a configuration designed to process larger materials, with cutting dimensions of up to 420 mm in depth and 200 mm in height.

It is a solution for those who need to handle large thicknesses, increase productivity, and maintain quality and precision even as the size, volume, and complexity of the input material increase. Where production requirements call for it, the Superpush 260XL also allows for processing stacked boards.

A Solution to Specific Production Needs

The ability to integrate drilling into a straight-cut machine addresses a specific market need. Until now, within the Salvador product line, drilling was only available on the Superangle model, which is designed for users who also require angled cutting. 

Many manufacturers, however, work exclusively with straight cuts and require a more basic solution: one that is automatic, robust, and capable of combining cutting precision with complementary operations in a single process. This is the case, for example, for manufacturers of sofa frames and upholstered furniture, where straight cuts and repeated holes are needed on large quantities of components. The Superpush 260 is the answer.

The larger sections of the Superpush 260XL, on the other hand, are designed for manufacturers that produce larger components, such as metal fabricators, companies specializing in structural elements, or businesses that need to handle large-dimension profiles, when straight cutting is the primary operation.
