From May 26-30, 2025, we were in Hanover for the 50th edition of LIGNA. The event welcomed 78,000 visitors from 156 countries and 1,433 exhibitors from 49 nations. The fair showcased cutting-edge solutions for every stage of the supply chain, from raw material processing to finished product. Once again, LIGNA confirmed itself as the benchmark event for the woodworking industry.
As Jochen Köckler, CEO of Deutsche Messe AG, the organizing company, said, “Despite advances in digitization, nothing can replace the experience of seeing machines in action live.” After five days in Hanover, we fully share this sentiment, certain as Köckler is that innovation, technological progress and passion remain the best prerequisites for new investments. Ingredients that were certainly not lacking at LIGNA.
Ninety-three percent of the visitors were industry professionals, 60 percent of whom hold management positions (and 44 percent in senior management). Among the most represented countries were Poland, Italy and Austria, followed by the Netherlands, France and Belgium-strategic markets for Salvador Machines. The edition put the spotlight on digitization, automation, sustainability and the responsible use of wood – topics that are an integral part of our approach – demonstrating how the entire industry is meeting the challenges of the future by turning them into concrete opportunities.

At LIGNA 2025 we presented three solutions that caught the attention of dealers and customers: Superstop, the electronic positioner that can be combined with semi-automatic miter saws even from other manufacturers; the Bottom Milling Unit, the first of three new All-in-One aggregates ( Mill, Notch and Drill); and the Rack and Pinion Feed System.

During the live demos, Superstop demonstrated, with its touchscreen panel and compatibility with CAD software, the efficiency and simplicity of cutting in beat or pusher mode, reducing errors and set-up time. Superstop is already available on the market and ready to make a difference for those still operating with manual methods.
The first All-in-One aggregate was also a great success: the Superangle 600 exhibited with the milling unit from below confirmed the effectiveness of milling to create joints on beams quickly and accurately, with applications even in the packaging industry.

Finally, the rack-and-pinion feed system, available on the Superangle 600 and, soon to be, Superpush 250 models, highlighted how it can handle loads of up to 14 meters with precision and less wear than competitor solutions, providing superior performance for construction.
Back from LIGNA, we would like to thank dealers and customers who visited our booth, sharing feedback and plans. As Markus Hüllmann, President of the VDMA Woodworking Machinery Association, pointed out, this edition indeed offered momentum and new opportunities for exhibitors and visitors.

The next event in Hannover is May 10-14, 2027. Until then, our experts remain available for insights, demonstrations and consultations.
